The Centre of Energy and Electrical Power (CEEP) at Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) was proud to be part of the ENERGISE Annual Symposium 2026, held at the University of the Witwatersrand (Wits).
The symposium brought together researchers, academics, industry professionals and other stakeholders within the energy sector to engage on developments, challenges and opportunities shaping the future of energy. The event provided a valuable platform for knowledge sharing, collaboration and meaningful discussions around the role of research and innovation in addressing energy challenges.

For CEEP, participation in the symposium provided an opportunity to engage with the broader energy community and gain valuable insights into emerging developments within the sector. Discussions around renewable energy, innovation and the communication of energy-related topics highlighted the importance of making complex energy information accessible and relevant to different audiences.
The experience was both eye-opening and exciting, providing an opportunity to learn from different perspectives while strengthening CEEP’s connection with the wider energy research and professional community.
CEEP remains committed to contributing to the energy sector through research, innovation, skills development and collaboration, while creating opportunities to share knowledge and support solutions to South Africa’s evolving energy challenges.
